Wisconsin Expo, Inc. opened its doors in August 1992. However, the legacy of the company began with Mid-Wisconsin Expo, which was founded in 1978 by the Brue family. Dan Cartledge and his wife Carrie purchased Mid-Wisconsin Expo in August of 1992, renaming the company at that time.
The Cartledge’s and the Brue’s had an established professional relationship. Dan started his career in 1978. He had 14 years of experience in the tradeshow industry when the opportunity to purchase Mid-Wisconsin Expo arose. Dan and Carrie saw it as a chance to develop and grow their stake in the tradeshow industry. They welcomed the challenge and grew Wisconsin Expo, Inc. from 14 shows a year, starting in 1992 to 300+ events a year, presently. The Brue’s have remained great mentors over the past 25 years!
The Cartledge’s success has continued to grow because of the hard work and achievements of their son, DJ Cartledge. DJ has been instrumental in the development of the business since Wisconsin Expo, Inc. was founded. From his days setting shows as a teenager alongside his siblings Brian and Mary, both of whom remain involved in the company, to leading the overall growth of the company through his role in Business Development, DJ is a driving force behind the company’s continued success.
While still family owned and operated, Wisconsin Expo, Inc. has grown from a small family run business to an industry leader with a staff that is knowledgeable and eager to assist our clients. Wisconsin Expo, Inc. prides itself on its dedication to perfection and longevity of customer relationships. Long-standing, loyal customers are the reason for continued growth and achievements.
To our dedicated past and present staff, we offer a sincere thank you, as we would not be here without your hard work and industry knowledge.
Last year, 2018, Marked Dan Cartledge’s 40th year in the tradeshow industry. Congratulations Dan!
